Global Hack Week: Data

Event Description

Set out of your Data Day (day-to-day) grind at Data Week!

Global Hack Week takes place throughout the year to give you a chance to complete technical challenges, network with the community, enjoy fun live sessions, build technical projects, and make new memories.

Each month, we pick a new topic to dive into at GHW. This is a beginner-friendly event where we'll spend time learning how to analyze, store, and use data.

Livestreams and Mini Events

Throughout GHW, we'll have daily workshops live-streamed on our Twitch to give you the chance to pick up new skills and build something together with the community. In between workshops, we'll run mini-events in the MLH Community Discord for you to join in and meet friends as you take a break from hacking.

Challenges

At GHW APIs Week we will have plenty of challenges to keep you busy. Challenges will range from social challenges urging you to connect with other members of the community, technical challenges that will expand your coding skills, and design challenges to refine your skills as a creator and artist. Some of these challenges will be completed live on our Twitch stream, so you can follow along and complete them with the community. We cannot wait to see all that you learn, build, and share.

We’ll leave it to you to choose which challenges you want to take on - there is no pressure to complete all of the, they're just meant to give you inspiration and motivation for things to build. Feel free to work collaboratively with others on these.

Discord

Our main communication platform during Global Hack Week is the MLH Community Discord. Once your in our server, heads up to #Channels-And-Roles in the top left hand corner to ensure you have the proper permissions to view the GHW section of Discord.
